Woohoo! What we have been waiting for is finally here: WordPress 3.9 “Smith” official release. This time the team name it “Smith” in honor of jazz organist Jimmy Smith,

TinyMCE version 4.0: the software behind the powered visual editor in WordPress. Updating TinyMCE to the latest version 2.0 is a huge update in WordPress 3.9.

Widget live previews: a cool improvement that makes our life easier. From WordPress 3.9 Beta 1 to the final release, there were a lot of bug fixes and changes for this feature. Now it’s more stable and more prime time.

Galleries Live Preview: Insert a gallery and we can have preview of it right on the editor before uploading. Save us time switching between back-end and front-end.

Drag & Drop Images: Obviously, with WordPress 3.9 we now can drag & drop an image directly onto the editor to insert and upload. Editing images also got improved and the team made it easier for us now to edit an image, especially the Crop image function.

A Makeover Theme Installer: The beautiful new theme browsing experience in WordPress 3.8 now is extended to Theme Installer in WordPress 3.9.

Audio/Video Playlists: New audio and video playlists are supported in Media Manager. Once uploaded an audio/video file, the links will appear for testing.
