Hey, friends! I’m Jackie, captain of DesignWall. Today I’m starting a new series of blog articles named: “DesignWall News” that revolve around the products we’re developing. This way we aim at keeping you in the loop about: What our team has done recently, and What we would do in the next time.
And through these ‘internal memo’ series, I really wish to hear of all comments or any suggestion you might have. All inputs we get back will influence what types of features are built next, so we can better meet your needs.
So, what have we done in recent time?
The first notable thing is the introduction of the new license key system for all our themes and our plugins. A faster and more convenient way to help you update to the latest version of our themes and plugins. As I did note in the announcement of this feature, if you still use the old version of DesignWall themes/plugins, you must first manually update to the latest version of the themes, before you can start using the license key for a remote update. This article will walk you through more details on which theme/plugin versions that support this license key features.
Second, we re-designed My Account page and also made a minor change to our Login page, with your social accounts login enabled.
What are we doing?
- Release new QA Extensions: As mentioned on this blog post, We are going to release 4 extensions for DW Question and Answer, which are DWQA Embed Question, DWQA Captcha, DWQA Leaderboard and DWQA Markdown.
- Release DW Timeline Pro: after getting feedback from users about adding random header image feature, etc. we are updating and it is going to be renewed soon.
- Release One-Click-Install feature: Instead of the manual update, we used the one-click-update feature to give an update message in the Dashboard when the latest updates are available on our update server. Thus, you no longer need to access DesignWall or check the email to get the latest version.
- Fix DW Fixed bug: Recently, our users report that the DW Fixel theme’s facebook block shows wrong stats of likes. We have it fixed in DW fixed 1.1.1 release.
- Fix bugs of the Q&A plugin core: We are fixing about 30 bugs of DWQA core and going to release DWQA 1.3.7 this week.
