Translate WordPress Theme: Updating the old language files

Please note that after updating the theme or plugin, the translated files will be lost. Therefore, you need to make a backup before upgrating. Once updated, your language files no longer work properly because some theme texts can be changed or added. To update the language, please follow the instruction below:

Step 1 Open the .po file which you translated previously with the Poedit

Step 2  At the toolbar, click Category >> Update from POT file then navigate to the catalog box and select new en.po file. Now, a list of all new text strings will be shown and need to be translated

Step 3 Translate any text you would like to then save the file and a .mo file will be automatically generated

Step 4 Overwrite the old .mo file and refresh your site to see all changes
