We would like to change a question author name, but the question author is not registered as user, so I’m wondering where or how could this be done.
I already tried the Plugin “Change Author” and tried to change the author to another one i created. But it just wouldn’t change after saving and jump back to the original author.

DominicAt the moment, you can change the author’s name of the question from Dashboard > Questions > Edit Question.

No I can’t change it there. I have a field with a dropdown “Autho”, but the name in the dropdown is not the name of the question author, and if i change it to another author, it won’t save that change, after the reload it’s still with that other name (which is not the question author).

I have checked and see that you want to change the author not registered on your site. At the moment, the WordPress can not show the anonymous user/author. So, the plugin does not support to change the anonymous user for the question as you wish.
