Hi,
I am updating my theme from a much older version of DW Focus and I am missing some widgets in WordPress like DW Focus: Categories and Popular Posts. The DW: Columns widget will not allow me to drop any widgets into it.
I also tried to assign different colors to my categories to match my old site but yellow is orange. How do I add the code for each color so that it matches my company\\\’s branding?

At the moment, we have some change in the layout, style, and the widgets. the older widget won’t work after updating the latest version.
firstly, you can find here for the document guide, on how to configure the theme and widget: https://www.designwall.com/guide/dw-focus/
If you want to change categories color, you can select the categories style in the Dashboard > Categories and edit categories.

If you want to add the DW: Column widget, you need to add new the widget from the left section, cannot drag/drop a widget when in the sidebar position.

Hi Dominic,
Thaks for letting me know there will be some updates soon.
I am trying to make my category colors match my company’s branding that we had in the original DW Focus theme which are different than what you offer in the theme as purchased. I went into my cPanel and updated the color codes but they are not changing on the site.
When I go to Dashboard>Blog Posts>Categories then I can only select from the list you have preloaded into the theme. I don’t see an option to edit the colors in the WordPress Dashboard. Am I missing something?

At the moment, the theme added the CSS code to the _theme.less and _posts.less file. Also, we have fixed all the style color name for the categories, If you want to change or add the color name, you need to know about the code and use the tool to compile less to CSS.
In this case, I think you should use the CSS code and add your code to the style.css file to override the old style.
You can click F12 or click right-mouse to a position that you want to find the CSS code then select the inspect line.
You will find the CSS code in the right-hand box.
