How do I edit and save the theme files written in php?

I can’t save any of the changes I’ve made to the theme files because there is a message at the bottom that says “You need to make this file writable before you can save your changes. See the Codex for more information.”

To resolve this issue, you need to change the permission of your theme (via FTP), you can find here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions
