Tested this plugin and looking forward to integrate it with my current theme( or maybe buy later one of yours if you have good CSS connection between themes and this) and I have 2 questions.
If I chose to let only registered users to post/answer questions, when someone clicks register will it have only a wordpress profile that can access by login in the backend? So far when I click my test account link I get only a blank page with no information at all. Is this a bug or atlast the profile details from the backend( like Description …etc) can be shown there?
I don’t know too much about user registrations on wordpress. If I let users to register on the backend could this represent a security isue?

===>At the moment, QA is linked with Author Archive on 1 user profile page, and you can edit the file: author.php to control what info you want to display like User Name, User Description, User Questions, etc… like on our user profile page:  http://cmspioneer.com/designwall/blog/author/ckubs/.
Here is the example on our Demo site: http://demo.designwall.com/dwqa/?author=1

===> As WordPress default, you can enable the Register function in Dashboard > General Settings. Then your users can register via a link:

 http://yoursite.com/wp-login.php?action=register

With QA, we allow users to create an account like this:

Ok thanks.

About my second question since I'm pretty much stupid at this I asked since most of WP sites I know, or WP plugins rely only on frontend registration and I thought WP way with the backend is something bad( regarding things like for eg. hacking). If there's no problem though I like it that way, for me this is a more convenient than frontend registration. 🙂

The system’s registry does not allow your user pick their password. After you register, the system will send an email comes with a random password inside. Make some users feeling nervous.
BTW, let’s start building your site with WordPress and DW Question & Answer. If you have any problem, just let me know. Nice to help you!

I don’t think users accessing the back end is so much of a security issue as they can only access and update their profiles, but I do think it’s a really BAD idea to let them in to the backend because they will be utterly confused!

Much better to have a custom front end, like Design Wall uses for their own implementation of Q&A, which hopefully they will make available as a Premium feature 😉

Hi Xavier,
Glad that you like our custom version of Q&A plugin on Designwall.com.
We will plan to release some of the features as plugins (plugin for plugin) soon.
