Well can’t I just update it from my WP admin end?
You mean the Auto-update feature not work in the DW Q&A pro plugin. If you want to update the plugin you can disable/delete the older version and install the new version. However, if you have customized the older version, you should create a backup folder and copy/paste all the files that you have customized to the backup folder. If you still face their issue, you can send me username & password of your site for further checking, I will help you resolve it.
