how to use a WYSIWYG text editor

So when I make a new knowledge base article and I click on bold or something, the text doesn\’t show bold but uses the strong tag. Same with hyperlinks and other things. How do you enable a tinyMCE-like content entry system. It works for making new pages or articles, I just don\’t see the \”Visual\” and \”Text\” tabs to switch between.
I tried to install the tinyMCE enhanced editor but it didn\’t seem to make a difference. Is there something I am missing or to get a WYSIWYG you need the pro version?
