I want my homepage to look like category page?

Currently, My theme does not  support this problem yet.

You’re saying that DW Focus not supports the option, but nextbigwhat.com has their latest posts on their homepage.

I see, If you want to have the latest posts on the homepage. Please log in to Dashboard > Appearance > Widget > Home Content > Remove the “DW Focus: Slider News” widget. This problem will be resolved when you remove this widget in the Home content.

But i also want my news slider.

I know you want to have this customization in your theme, however, my DW Focus Theme does not  support this problem yet at the moment..
