Is there a way to include/exclude categories to show in 'Read Next' feature?

I include quotes as posts in my site. They’re really just a design element on the site. When reading an article on the site, I’d prefer they be excluded in the ‘Read Next’ feature at the bottom of the article. I could do this either by including a specific category (post), or excluding a category (quote). Is there a way to do this? Thanks.
