The questions page is gone. It now shows this; https://www.dropbox.com/s/0eyannlcdoohvmf/Screenshot 2014-06-30 18.16.49.png Tried reassigning the page, resaving etc and nothing is working.

I cant seem to edit the additional comment I made, but the broken JS appears to only be on the question/answer page.

ANOTHER UPDATE:

Disabled the plugin and re enabled, this fixed the question-list page but every single question lead to a 404. I updated the permalinks and this fixed the 404 and broke the question-list page.

I have literally spent about 4 hours so far trying to figure this out.

UPDATE 3

After hours of messing about, I have figured out that if I change the single question permalink from questions to question, the /questions/ page shows the correct format. But the problem is, Google has obviously already cached the /questions/question-title/, so I dont want to use /question/question-title/ AND I notice this website uses /question/ /question-title/ so its obviously possible for them to be the same.

Can somebody please offer some insight before I go crazy. It’s now 1:34am and I’ve been here half the day trying to fix the website since this update.

UPDATE 4

https://www.dropbox.com/s/fzqqk24rb0243tx/Screenshot%202014-07-01%2002.57.32.png

The titles are missing from the questions. In essence, my website is pretty much FUBAR.

It has also completely broken all javascript related functions of the plugin. Was this release tested? :s

I know it happened to me as well and the answer questions form is not working on my site now the problem seems to be only in the answer page (the javascript conflicts one) as far as questions and question thing is concerned i would suggest you to use redirection plugin to handle that task hope this helps thanks

Sorry to be a pain, but any update on this? The website has been broken now for over 24 hours.

Same issue here. My question list page looks like a blog page but the individual question pages look ok. Like Paul M, I disabled/enabled the plugin and this fixed the question list layout but no links worked. Resaved permalinks and question list page was back to looking like a blog page. Any ideas? (will revert back to previous version in the meantime)

Not even sure how to revert back?

Just a thought here. On your two pages required for Q&A do they have the short code in them ? As well go to Wp>settings > Permalinks and just save from there. Then see how it is.

Yeah the shortcodes actually get added by the plugin now too when you tell it which page to use.

The issue is related to the fact both the single question and the page use /questions/ as if I make it question, all works OK. But obviously Google already has the pages indexed at /question/

Tried saving the permalinks too but definitely a bug.

@ Dom Amor: Hi Dom, yes the question and answer page have the [dwqa-list-questions] and [dwqa-submit-question-form], respectively. Did the permalinks save and this fixed the links but the question page broke again. Disabling/enabling the plugin fixes the question page but breaks the links to the questions.
@Paul M: I just restored a backup of the /wp-content/plugins/dw-question-answer folder but if you don’t have it available, I think the previous versions are available at https://github.com/designwall/dw-question-answer/releases Simply disable the plugin, then overwrite the files in /wp-content-plugins/dw-question-answer folder and enable the plugin again.

Also, when trying to define a different sidebar for the Questions page, it still displays the default one. I can’t even set specific widgets to not display using the jetpack feature.

Sorry, one last thing. I cannot even change the pages title using Yoast SEO. It seems that nothing I do to the page has any effect.

There’s also an issue with Jetpack comments. Havin it turned on breaks the Q&A plugin but it previously wasn’t an issue.

I’ve now had to turn jetpack comments off. This update has been an utter disaster for me. 🙁

Hi Paul M,
Firstly, the problem about comments was resolved and you can turn on jetpack comment on your site. Secondly, the single question page title was showed, we are using page.php for all page’s template of DWQA but your theme does not show page title that was why single question title is missing.
Please check and let us know if you still have issue with DWQA.
Thanks
