If you try to add a comment to the answer then the submit button does appear. But if I submit a comment to the answer then I do not see the comment after submission.
I am using a standard Twenty Seventeen theme, so I would expect plugin to work “out of the box”

DominicYes, we have checked on our site and demo and see that the plugin still work fine. In this case, I think the plugin conflicting with another plugin, you can try to disable all the plugin to check this issue. If you still face their issue, you should send username & password of your site for further checking.
Would it sense to look at the user side code on the site where it is not working? It seems too easy to blame other plugins before checking if there is not an obvious problem in your plugin. Perhaps 2 minutes of your time will find an obvious issue. The Q&A plugin is not being used on our site (the page is not linked) and we are using all the other plugins so disabling other plugins is not an option.
