FIrst — thank you very much for the awesome plugin! We’ve been getting great feedback!
We’ve got DW QA installed here (http://theshamefreezone.com/questions/). The private question tool has been popular, but we’re having some strange functionalty. When we get an alert about a private question, the URL will look something like this:
http://theshamefreezone.com/question/romantic-friendships/ // If you click that, it generates a 404. When we’re logged in, we can see the comment, and respond from the admin panel — but then when we click to view our comment, it also generates a 404. We were concerned that the person who asked the original question may either have not received a response, or they may have similar problems when they click to view the response through the website.
Do you have any feedback about why that may be happening?
Thanks for your time,
Zach

The private questions are for the asker and admins only no other person can see it and its normal thing that it is creating 404 error while you are trying to click on it from frontend(in case you are not logged in to your dashboard)

Thanks — that’s how I expected it to act, but I still get the 404 error even if I’m logged into the admin panel.

One note though — I’m not the admin who responded to the original question. Is there a reason that ONLY the admin account who responded could view that page? Basically it’s not universally accessible for all admins?

Thanks for your time,
Zach

Ah nevermind! I figured out the problem. The DW QA plugin and my wordpress install had a different URL structure (www.theshamefreezone.com VS theshamefreezone.com) — that minor tweak of missing WWW was screwing something up.

Teaches me a lesson about tweaking with settings I shouldn’t be playing with!

Thanks for your help,
Zach
