Issues with DW Focus on smaller screens – Responsive layout

1. On my Galaxy S4 screen the text and images are flush left but have a small margin on the right. This looks sloppy. Please advise how to add a margin on the left.

2. Drop down menu doesn’t work right. Touch the spot to open it and it opens all the way, then the lower half of it disappears, with only the portion that overlaps the slider showing.

3 The submenus are messed up in that they are visible through the rest of the menu when closed, looking like they are overlapping other text.

4. The text in the submenus is being forced to be too narrow and being pushed onto two lines for each selection instead of one, even for short named menu items. This is for both landscape and portrait orientations for my phone. One named “Earthstar Traveler” comes out on two lines, and the text is very small on screen so there is room for it. It does this also in landscape orienation. Looks like you have the menu appear as a grid of three across.

5. On the home page, in a Categories widget set to horizontal mode with a thumbnail image, the top of the thumbnail covers the article title.

6. In the categories widget set to vertical mode the thumbnail is enlarged to be full width and pixelates/blurrs because it is too small for the screen size it is being forced to fill.

The site is at http://www.nextinthewest.com

The only css changes were some font colors and enlarging the site header.

I still have very little content posted yet. This is for a client who wants things to be looking great, of course. I pray that you can resolve these issues.

7. The slider is often cut off so only about maybe 40px of the bottom of the image are visible. Sometimes you can see the whole slider. This happens in portrait and landscape mode, and appears to be the space needed for the article title.

All these issues were observed in the default browser in this Samsung Galaxy S4.

8. On the same smartphone, in the home page category widget set to full width, the thumbnail sits too high and in front of the category name. This appears in the default browser provided by Samsung and in Dolphin browser but not in Chrome. Chrome has all the other problems listed above, as does Dolphin.
