Which theme to use for a house builder/carpenter?

Hi. I am about to start working on a project for a company that builds and repairs houses and other buildings. So they are likely to want to post pictures and descriptions of their past and current projects, as well as the usual company details, services offered and contact form. Which if any of your WordPress themes would you suggest for such a website, with the front page featuring “Here’s what we’ve been busy building downtown lately”, and linking to more detailed stories with multiple pictures? This is a smallish company, so not that many ongoing projects at a given time, so it would be nice to be able to have the home page main story rotate between projects, so that visitors don’t see exactly the same picture for months at a time.

Based on what you have described, we don’t have an exact theme that would meet your requirement.
However, I think DW Page is a good one. It’s simple, one page style and look like a modern website nowadays.

Yes, I do use DW Page for my own website at http://www.sunshinedata.com. However, this doesn’t seem to work well for a more picture-sentered site, as it uses the portfolio with miniatures linking to single-picture entries. I would like to promote the projects with large pictures on the top page. In fact, maybe I could redesign Simplex for the job.

Hi Jin. Thanks for the follow-up.
The customer has still not decided, but I believe other themes (from other theme creators, sorry) will be a better choice for this particular project, as they seem to be tailored for their purpose out of the box.

I have another project lined up too, now, but have yet to figure out what that client needs. I am new to the world of WP themes, having used other CMS for customers previously, often building designs from scratch. But I quite like the concept, and I am happy with the two themes from you that I have used so far. (Page and Focus.)
