WordPress comment moderation

Hello,

WordPress has some built in options for moderating comments under Settings->Discussion.

I tried to activate the “Comment author must have a previously approved comment” option, but it didn’t work.

Does DWQA override this option? If so, is there any way to activate it?

Update
I noticed that the Handle class uses wp_insert_comment. If this is replaced with wp_new_comment then the build in wordpress moderation tools work.

Is there a reason dwqa doesn’t use the wp_new_comment function? Or is it safe for me to use it in Handle.php instead of wp_insert_comment?

At the moment, the plugin does not support to allow moderation comment, you can setting to allow moderation question and answer.
