Hi, I can’t update DW Q & A Pro from WordPress Dashboard – why?
How should I update it?

If you want to update the plugin, you can download the latest version from your account then override the plugin folder. Also, you can disable/delete the older version. and install the new version to use. If you want to have it, you can send me username & password of your site via private answer. I will access and help you resolve it.

Thanks, I have made some customizations both on mails and with translating. How can I update so I do not loose them?
Why can’t I update it from WordPress dashboard?

At the moment, you can not auto update from the Dashboard. It’s not safe for the user has customized the plugin as you here. In your case, you should copy the file that you have customized to the backup folder and copy your file changed to the latest version. Also, if all the file is in the templates folder, you can create a folder in your theme folder, with name “dwqa-templates” then copy all the file to this folder. All the template files will override the files in the templates folder of the DWQ&A and it will be saved/safe when you update the plugin. If you still face their issue, you can let me know all the customized. I will check and help you update the plugin.
