Hi, I have been using wallpress and just purchased DW Wall. If I do the quick install will it overwrtie my existing site? How do I get all the features and plugins loaded without changing my content?

Hi Matt,
The Quickstart is to install a new site that look like our demo, so yes your settings of WallPress will be lost.
In order to keep settings and features, you should only install a theme only.
In DW Wall package, you will have 3 child theme: Wallpin. WallChristmas and WallDark. Choose 1 skin you want to install. Unzip and install it into your site.
Dashboard > Theme > Install theme.
See the screenshot:

Hope this helps!

Hi Dominic, thanks for your response.
That’s what i thought and what I have done so far, which means I still only have the functions of the free theme. This is not why I purchased your theme.
1. How do I get all the features and plugins of DW WALL loaded without losing my content?
2. How do I get the social feed, the showcase and the shop or are you saying this can only be set up from a clean install?
3. I imagine this will give me a lot more customization?

Thank you
Matt

Please find my solutions here (highly recommend to take backup of your site)
1. How do I get all the features and plugins of DW WALL loaded without losing my content?
DW WallWallpress are quite similar. In DW Wall there are 3 child themes. In stead of using the QuickStart, please use Theme package to install (wallpin, walldark, wallchristmas) in DW Wall 1.0.10 Themes in to themes folder ( Your site > wp-content > themes ). Doing this way, you will keep all the features and contents.
By the way we will release an updated version for DW Wall next week.

2. How do I get the social feed, the showcase and the shop or are you saying this can only be set up from a clean install?

– Social feed:
Go to Dashboard > plugins > add new. Search plugin DW Social Feed

– Showcase:
To create the Showcase page, please following the instruction below:
Step1:  log in to Dashboard > Posts > Categories, and add new category (for example: Showcase)
Step2:  Navigate to Posts > Add new, in the Format pane on the right hand side, check the box “Image”
Step3: Open Menu > Categories,  select the Showcase categories then add to menu.
– Shop:
Go to Dashboard > plugins > add new. Search plugin Jigoshop

You can take a look at jigoshop user guide here: https://www.jigoshop.com/documentation/

3. I imagine this will give me a lot more customization?
Actually not because as I mentioned earlier, DW Wall and WallPress are not too different.
Hope this helps!
