Have you tried to select the styles in the Dashboard > Questions > Settings > Styles. 
You can select the Helpdesk or Flat style. 
However, the plugin will get the style and layout of your theme. In your case, you can send me your site URL for further checking, If you want to change the style in your site, you can let me know detail about it, we will check and help you resolve it.
