john risser Firstly, I love DW themes.
Secondly, the quick start instructions are lacking.
I’m on a Mac, so perhaps this is why their instructions weren’t great.
Once you unzip the contents of the dw_page_retro_1.0.4_quickstart.zip on your desktop or wherever, you need to copy the CONTENTS of that folder to your web server’s root folder (public_html). Do NOT just move the entire folder into your root or else your WordPress installation will be inside the “dw_page_retro_1.0.4_quickstart” folder or whatever your zip file is called.
Once you have all files uploaded, then enter your site’s URL in your browser. And you’ll be guided through the rest of the installation.
So, bottom line: The CONTENTS of the quick start zip go into your root folder or wherever you want your WP installation to reside.
Then navigate your browser to that folder.
Bam.
