how to have thumbnails for each post on feed?

I am having a problem in changing each post on my feed as a thumbnail . Instead its showing complete articles on the timeline (with full text).
I have changed “Settings >> Reading >> For each article in a feed, show : Summary” And still its showing full text on the article!!
I am really frustrated with this .

On my homepage, we used a “More” tag to shorten a post on the homepage and have a “read more” link.
When add a new content, in the content frame please put the cursor in anywhere you would like , and click on “More” button.
