I use a comment plugin that breaks DWQA :-(

On my website I use a popular comment plugin named ThriveComments. It makes moderating comments a million times more easy. 
Problem is, it does its thing on all comments…….
When it is active on my website, the comments option in DWQA on a question is just completely gone. So I reached out to their support to see if there was some function or something like that to exclude certain post types, but unfortunately, that is not an option.
Is there any way that DWQA can prevent WordPress comment plugins from affecting it?
