Image Slider in Featured Image

On the demo of Wallpress, top row, second from the right is a slider in the featured image that has three images. How can I add a slider like that to my post?

I clicked on Gallery and it seemed to work, for now. But my other question is, on my home page, all the text in the whole post is shown and not cut off like on the demo? How to I change it? I currently only have one post and will add more.

Also, To add a new post with gallery format, please follow the step by step below:
1. Add a new post normally, then select Format for this post

2. Click Attach to add new image to the Media

3. On popup window “Find Post or Pages”, select your article.

Now, you need to add the posts for the slides and then please send us your site for further checking.
