Hi,
I noticed the following 2 issues while using the Q&A plugin.

  1. After just adding a comment to a question or an answer, the comment timestamp shows correctly (1 min ago). When I look on the main question list page, the timestamp shows (2 hours). This only happens with comments; timestamps of answers show correctly on both pages.
  2. The main question list page shows the avatar of the last user who interacted with each question. This happens correctly when the last user posted an answer, but if the last user posted a comment, the avatar shows the default Gravatar blank image instead, although the link to the user is correct.

I wonder if you’ll provide an update to fix these 2 issues or if I should edit the plugin files to fix them myself. Thanks.

Here is the development URL: http://www.comparlo.com/wp/

It’s fully functional. You can create an account there and test as a user to see the issues I’m talking about.

In fact, we made a small trick to fix the timestamp issue on the homepage. It turned out to be because we set WordPress timezone settings to be UTC+2. The comment timestamp on the question page seems to handle this correctly, but on the homepage not. So we fixed this by changing the timezone to UTC instead of UTC+2, so in fact you will not see this issue now, but it needs to be fixed in the plugin anyway.

The other issue of the commenter profile picture is still there – you can reproduce it.

Please send me admin account for further checking, you can send me your info via private answer.

I’m afraid I’m a bit careful about the security of my websites, so I only give admin accounts to my team members. Please let me know what you want to check as an admin and I’ll do it for you and give you results.

Alternatively, we can arrange a Skype call while using TeamViewer so that you can check what you want through my computer.

Please let me know what suits you best.

The latest (1.0.7) on WP 4.6.3. Should I update to WP 4.7.2?

It’s issue on your site. At this point, we have updated and fixed all the issue that you are facing in the latest version 1.4.5, you can check here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/dw-question-answer/

Ok, but I’m talking about the Pro version, not the free plugin. The Pro latest version is 1.0.7. How can I apply the updates you made on the free plugin to the pro plugin that I purchased from CodeCanyon?

Sorry about that, I think you are using the free version. About your issue, I have checked on our demo and added a comment and see that it works fine. In this case, please send me your email, I will provide for you another Q&A plugin, you can try and test the issues with the new plugin.

That’s ok. It’s just that a lot of time is passing since I started my complaint and we can’t publish the website before fixing these issues. I hope we get them done soon.

I’ll send you my email in a private answer.

As for your test comment, yes, the timestamp looks correct because (as I said above) I apparently fixed that by changing the website timezone to UTC. The problem appears when the timezone is not UTC, and I need to bring it back to UTC+2.

The other issue that I also mentioned above shows in on the homepage. The question that has your comment shows a default Gravatar image instead of your actual profile image.

For me it seems that you didn’t carefully read my concerns. Please read the description of my issues in my question and comments above so that I don’t have to keep describing it more and more.
