Load more posts initially and sidebar color not scrolling correctly downwards (not keeping up)

Hello,

Great theme just have a couple little issues. I change my sidebar color but as I scroll down, it doesn’t keep up and looks pretty clunky. Any fix?

Also when someone first starts the site, I’d like it to load more posts – is that just under my general wordpress settings?

Well I changed to 20 in general settings and that didn’t do anything. It looks like it loads 9 automatically on first loading the page, I’d like it to load 12-20.
