How do I change it so admin can see private questions and private comments from the front end interface? The back-end interface is terrible for tracking conversation threads, so it needs to be possible to view this from the front end.

Hi wpintense,

Thank you for contacting DesignWall! My name is Kevin and I am happy to be of assistance in this matter.

You can go to Dashboard > Questions > Settings and uncheck option “Allow members to post private question.” then Save Change.

Warm Regards,
Kevin.

Hi Kevin – that doesn’t answer the question. As admin, I need to be able to see all private questions and all private answers from the front end and I should have full editing capabilities for all questions since I’m admin. How do I enable this? Currently I only get full editing features on the front end if I made the question myself.

Hi wpintense,

Thanks for your reply.

You can go to Dashboard > Questions > Settings > Permissions. In there, you can manage user permission by roles.

Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Warm Regards,
Kevin.

Ah – that’s great! I think you should modify the install so Admin has the ‘manage questions’ ability enabled by default.

Yeah! Glad to hear that! Thank you for your suggestion. We will consider to add it in the next version of DW Q&A.

Warm Regards,
Kevin.
