Will updating to Wordpress 3.9 mess up my DW Trendy theme?

Hi,
I use the DW Trendy theme for my site, which I manage through WordPress.
I want to update to the new WordPress 3.9; will this affect my theme in any way? Or, is it safe to go ahead and click update?
Also, what backup plug-in do you recommend I use to back up my theme before I update to WordPress 3.9?

Hope that you are well today!
At the moment, the DW Trendy isn’t yet already to be compatible with the latest WordPress 3.9.
Please note that, the WordPress latest release has included lots of changes and we are already working on that to make it compatible so that it’s taking some time and we will release it in the next two weeks.
Please stay tuned. Will let you know once released.
– When you update WordPress version 3.9 will not affect the content of the theme.

Hi Dominic,

Thank you for getting back to me! Apologies for the follow up question (I’m not too great with tech).

Since this theme isn’t compatible with the latest WordPress 3.9, does that mean that I will have to re-purchase the theme in 2 weeks before I update to WordPress 3.9?

Thanks for your reply!
Don’t worry. We will update as soon as possible. Please note that after purchasing our WordPress themes from different channels, you can update the theme at any time without paying for. Hence, when we make the theme compatible with the latest WordPress 3.9, you just download the updated version of the theme in your profile, don’t need to re-purchase.

Hi Dominic,

I want to upgrade to the new Trendy version, where exactly do I need to go or click on to access the new version? (on my WordPress I don’t see “Update Available” when I go to appearance & then themes.)

Hi klopez ,as Dominc suggested you have to goto your profile on designwall.com
then goto >>downloads tab and there you should find the link to your updated theme i suppose you need to download it to your computer from here and then upload it to your server from wordpress dashboard>>appearance>>themes
thats tthe case if you bought the theme from here that is designwall and if you bought it from market place like themeforest then your profile at themeforest may be the place you should be looking for
