I have WordPress 4.5 installed on my website. When I open a page in the backend of WordPress, nothing shows in my visual Editor. If I click on the text editor, then go back to the visual editor, I see the content. I can make any edits, but when I click “update”, the new edits don’t take.
Everything was working until I installed WordPress 4.5. Who can recommend any ways to resolve this issue?
Thank you!

There is not any solution here but I’m running the same problem. My visual editor has not worked for some time. I did some googling and found several posts with many solutions, but none of them worked for me. Can anyone help us? Please!

Hi,
Thank you for contacting DesignWall! My name is Sophie and I am happy to be of assistance in this matter.
Step 1:If you are using a premium or paid theme, It’s best to go to the support site where you bought your theme for helping. You paid for support when you bought the theme, so you should contact the website where sold you the theme.

If your posts don’t show up right away, please be patient. If you have done what I have recommended, you still can not resolve your problem. You should pay attention to all points I mention below:

  • Do Flush any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches. That will solve many weird Javascript issues.
  • Do Troubleshoot with your browser. Your browser can help you identify JavaScript issues or conflicts. This could help identify Visual Editor issues as well.
  • Do deactivate all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, you have to activate the plugins again one by one until you find the problematic plugin. If you can not get into your admin dashboard, pleased try to reset the plugins folder sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems. You also should remember to deactivate any plugins in the mu-plugins folder. The most simple way is to rename that folder to mu-plugins-old
  • Do Switch to the Twenty Sixteen theme to rule out any theme-specific issues. If you can not log in to change themes, you can remove the theme folders via FTP. That will force your site to use it.
  • Do update manually . When all else fails, download a fresh copy of the latest.zip file of 4.5 (top right on this page) to your PC, and use that to copy up. You should delete the wp-admin and wp-includes folders on your server( do not delete the wp-content directory, your wp-config.php file)

Hope that you can help you resolve your problem easily!

Warm Regards,
Sophie.
