Getting Started
1. Knowledge Base Name & Slug
Knowledge Base slug will help you change slug for category (slug-category) and tag slug(slug-tag).
After you updated this setting, don’t forget to go to Settings > Permalinks to update your permalink. It is mandatory.
2. Knowledge Base Index Page
After you active a plugin, please create a new page which displays Knowledge Base index (with all categories)
DW Knowledge Base Index Page: The [dwkb] shortcode must be on this page. Go to the Knowledge Base > Settings to select this page from Default Page Index.

3.1. Default Page
Choose from list dropdown a page which you included a shortcode [dwkb]
3.2. Default Page Theme
DW Knowledge Base provides 7 different themes.
3.3. Default Page Theme
This option shows how many categories’ columns you want to show and posts on the index page.
Currently, you can select from 1 to 4 columns:
3.4. Category Post Count
You may choose to hide or show the category post count, which is near the category title on the index page.
3.5. Category Description
At Category Post Count, You may choose from hiding or showing category description on the index page.
4. Knowledge Base Features
4.1. Breadcrumbs
DW Knowledge Base comes with simple breadcrumbs. If you turn on this feature, breadcrumbs will visible at all knowledge base pages, including index page, category, archive and single article.
4.2. Search Form
Search form with autocomplete ui jquery will suggest some topics based on the keyword you typed. We highly recommend turn on this feature to improve the user experience for your website.
4.3. Category Thumbnail
If you enable this feature, in Knowledge Base > Categories, you can add a category with uploading thumbnail or image URL. Existing categories also can be updated with thumbnail as well.
5. Single Article Options
5.1. Voting feature
Voting feature is visible at the end of an article, with a basic thumbs up voting.
5.2. Meta Data
Default after article title it has some meta data about the post, including the author name and posted date. You can hide it.
5.3. Last Modification
Sometimes your article needs to be updated. Default it will be visible in the end of the article, and you can disable it if needed.
5.4. Comment Form
The comment form is visible at single article template only, using standard WordPress search form. You can hide it by an option on Plugin setting page.
