I want to manipulate the amount of text in the DW Focus: Category widget by default.

I need to reduce from 360 characters to 200.

the text this widgets categories, use Excerpt, you can changed number text by following.

It worked for my English blog. But it did not change the amount of text for my Chinese blog. What should be done to control the amount of text in my Chinese blog?
