Big Story thumbnail space issue

There is an excess space around the “BigStory” thumbnail on tell.ng homepage, yet bsjournal.com does not have that problem despite having the exact same dimension (520 x 310) featured images.
This is despite that both sites are using the same DW Focus Theme.
Images dimensions have been manually adjusted to 520 x 310 just in case wordpress image edit is acting up, yet the problem persists.
What could be causing this.

Hi,
To resolve this issue, you can add the following code to the style.css file:

.news-slider .carousel {
   padding: 0;
}

Hi DominicI added the above code at the end of the style.css file but it still doesnt work.
