Do instructions come with Minion? A bunch of features aren’t working for me…

Hi,

Beautiful blog theme by the way, very clean, I love it.

I do have a few quick questions.

Video are not automatically embedding themselves into the posts. Do I require a 3rd party plugin for this?
The latest posts all are force to display the full post, it doesn’t display the excerpt and “continue reading” button automatically
How do I get the formatting of the quote to appear like one in the demo? I don’t know how to get the text beneath it to display with the quote bubble arrow pointing down.

1. As privacy policy, we are pleased to assist you about the basic theme issues and bug fixes. Unfortunately, I’m afraid it would not be possible to support you for this customization. Currently, our theme does not support your request yet.
You can use the plugin, please search the plugin here: http://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=+automatically+embedding+

2. Here is our suggestions to help you shorten a post on the homepage and have a “continue reading” link.
– Please log in to Dashboards > Post > add new > import content.
Then, in the content frame , please put your cursor in position of text you want to display the excerpt and “continue reading” button, and click on “More” button on the toolbar . Please take a view below:

3. To resolve this issue, you can log in to Dashboard > Posts > Add news > in the Format pane on the right hand side, select the Format Quote.

Hi,
Thanks for the great blog theme. Trying to set it up and while playing around with it I encountered a challenge: when selecting the ‘quote’ format it doesn’t seem to translate that to the design as seen in the demo. Not sure whether it worked out for Dominic? Can you maybe support? Draft blog with bs info I’m working on now: http://disruptosaur.com

And two other questions I hope you might be able to help me with:
1. Is there a way to add a social sharing ribbon (inc. email) and be able to edit this meta info through the CMS so that I can e.g. prefabricate a Tweet or LinkedIn share of a blog post?
2. Do you have a nicely designed opt out w. regards to cookies? Would hate to ruin this nice experience with an ugly popup of some kind 😉

Hi Nico,
1. To create a “quote” post as seen in our demo. You can use the following code:

<blockquote>CONTENT
<div><cite><strong>Steve Jobs</strong>, Business Week</cite></div></blockquote>

Notice: You only need to change your content then select the Format Quote.
Also, If you want to add “Read more” to the posts. You can put the “Read more” button outside content .

2. To add the social sharing in the blog post, You can use the “Social Login, Social Sharing, Social Commenting and more!” plugin.
