How to edit DW Store - Giftstore

Hey Guys,
So I purchased the theme DW Store – Giftstore.
I go into the main pages to edit the home page … and whenever I edit something (i.e. a picture) and go update .. it throws out a whole bunch of code and errors.
Is it really this difficult to edit the home page pictures and stuff?
This theme is really very unstable…
