How to edit template.CSS

Hello,
I cannot figure how to retrieve the style of the Demo of DW page. I figured that you have to edit template.css to obtain decent change in the style.
But the template.css file is a unique line, and really hard to edit.
Is there any simple way to edit css file than this method ?
