How to specify a full width banner instead of just a logo, cant be done in just the customization section?

Apologies for the delay in replying to you.
To resolve this issue, you can add the following code to the style.css file:
#branding h1 {width: auto; }

Thanks for the reply Dominic, it doesn’t work though. I have the 40×880 banner loaded as the Site Logo, but it is still crammed into the original space, after adding that coder to style.css and selecting Site Logo from the dropdown.

You can tell m detail about the position that you want to display the banner.

Well instead of there just being space for a very small logo, which is something like 100×40 pixels in your theme, I would like to have a full width banner instead, quite simple really.

What about size that you want to use ? Also, you can add your image in the Customize then me your site for further checking.
