Please simply download the latest version of theme/plugin from your profile and re-install it.
You can overwrite the theme folder via FTP. Please note that before updating the latest version, please mark and copy all files that you have edited or customized, then update. After finishing, you add all codes that you customized to your new theme. This way you will not loose all the customization. Also please take back-up of your site.

K LopezI need help updating to the new DW Trendy theme, as well. Where exactly are we supposed to go or click on to access the upgraded version?
well wisherHi klopez ,as Dominc suggested you have to goto your profile on designwall.com
then goto >>downloads tab and there you should find the link to your updated theme i suppose you need to download it to your computer from here and then upload it to your server from wordpress dashboard>>appearance>>themes
thats tthe case if you bought the theme from here that is designwall and if you bought it from market place like themeforest then your profile at themeforest may be the place you should be looking for
