Why is &nbsp not working in latest version of DW Focus?

Dear support team,

Since the update of DW Focus, if I put in "&nbsp" in the html of a text, it shows in the text and does not create a space. Is this a bug? Please let me know,

At the moment, our theme does not work with the & symbol. To resolve this issue, you can use the following code:
<div style="clear:both;"></div>
