Hi there
OK I have a client who wants to implement the News Slider section of their site where it would display the content like this:
Slide 1: Display latest post in Category A
Slide 2: Display latest post in Category B
Slide 3: Display latest post in Category C
Slide 4: Display latest post in Category D
So here’s the tricky part.
If I create a “featured’ category and assign the items I want then the problem is the order of the items wold be based on date, also since every time I add an item to a featured category I’d need to remove the pervious post from that category.
I’m guessing there must be a plugin to handle this but I haven’t had any luck.

And this will keep them in the proper order?

Hi Corey,
To resolve this issue please follow my instruction here:
1. Replace all code in dw-focus-slider.php file (your site / wp-content / themes / your theme / inc / widgets / dw-focus-slider.php ) with code at following link:  http://snippi.com/s/b4fzemi
2. Go Dashboard / Posts / Categories then choose slugs of thecategories you want.

3. Add slugs you choose to “Categories slug” in DW Focus: News Slider widget .

Hope this helps!

And this will keep them in the same order as I use the slugs?
