Where do I insert the code for the BuddyPress integration?

I am trying to enable users who want to ask/answer a question to register or login before submitting their question/answer. The aim is for a pop-up to appear with the relevant fields when they click ‘ask a question’, exactly like it is set up on designwall.com… So where do I paste the code referred to here: http://designwall.com/guide/dw-question-answer-plugin/
I successfully completed steps 1 and 2, but where do I insert the two pieces of code in steps 3 and 4 within my functions.php file? You can view the file here: http://snippi.com/s/yujmllw

Open the function.php file of your theme(wp-content/themes/[theme-name]/functions.php), and add this code under line 1.
If you still face there issue, you can send me username & password of your site (via private answer) for further checking.
