I go to my profile page, it says this…
“No local avatar is set. Use the upload field to add a local avatar.”
I click ‘Browse…’ select an image, nothing happens so I click ‘Update Profile’ and the page refreshes with no avatar image. So I check the box for ‘delete the local avatar’, click ‘Update Profile’ and the page refreshes with the default avatar image from my gravatar account. What causes this to happen?
To add local Avatar, you can use the Add Local Avatar plugin. Please find the plugin here: http://wordpress.org/plugins/add-local-avatar/
Add Local Avatar does not work. I click ‘Manage’, ‘Choose File’, ‘Update Avatar’ and get nothing. It just shows me a broken image. I’ve since tried WP User Avatar and Simple Local Avatar and those also don’t work.
Simple Local Avatar won’t even activate because it triggers a fatal error (pasted below). This looks to be cause by the plugin also being integrated into your theme.
Do you know of a possible workaround to this issue?
