How do I get top menu to display horizontally?

On the demo site for this theme, the menu is displayed horizontally with a drop down box at the end. However, when I created a secondary top menu, the links aren’t displaying across the top. They just appear in a dropdown. Any idea why?

To resolve this issue, you can log in to Dashboard > Menu, then select the Primary menu in the Menu setting.
