This Q&A app is so full of bugs!

1. I cannot even perform a search properly. If there is no question matching the search query it gives all unrelated woocommerce suggestions! Please provide a fix. My coder has worked several hours on this this morning but to no avail. See screenshot.

2. Permission settings don’t work properly. Roles are incorrectly recognized. I set role A as able to post comments and answers, but it doesn’t work. I have to activate role B in the settings to allow role A’s posting to become available. UPDATE: I deselected comments posting from role A and B, answers still active. Yet posting both comments AND answers becomes unavailable role A and B. – Permission settings are all messed up.

3. Responsive. Voting is missing from responsive. Avatars are too tiny!

4. Useless ‘best answer’ option, without any setting options for them. Somebody who provides an answer can select his own answer as ‘best answer’. That is useless.

5. The plugin says version 1.0.0 but your change log says there should be a 1.0.6 (15 August 16) version. Why is it not available for download or are you just being sloppy?

I tried to install all plugins you’ve given, but the search function still works fine. Please try to deactivate all activated plugins then active one by one to see where the problem came from.

The latest WordPress update solved the search issue for us.I just got a message of there being an update to the plugin – can we update(are the fixes you provided us in this plugin incorporated in the latest update?)

1. The latest version of DW Q&A Pro included the fix I provided you.

Hi Kevin.
When you provided us with the improved plugin, search issue 2. (see screenshot) became solved when WordPress updated itself.
However we now updated the official plugin (because the updater keeps asking to). If we install that update, the search issue is back! We reverted back to the old plugin, which solved the issue. However, we then attempted again to upgrade (to the same newer version) and now again the search issue was gone.

Would you have any idea what’s causing this inconsistency?

I do not know, may be due to conflicts with other plugins. However, I will try to fix it as soon as possible.

Hi Kevin, I noticed another issue with the envato plugin (latest version x.7)
The plugin contains issues with the permissions – a type of user with permission to post answers was not able to see the answer option in front end. We reverted back to the plugin you emailed us and that worked well again.
