Changes deleted after update

Hello,
every time I update the plugin, all my changes I made before are removed. Is there any way to preserve them while doing regular updates?

Firstly, you need to create a folder back-up and copy/paste all the custom files to this folder then update the plugin. After finishing, you can compare the files to add the custom code to the new plugin.
