Lynda KarrThe media upload to the library on my DW Focus site stopped working properly. When I upload to the library, no thumbnail appears. If I go to “edit,” I will see the image, but it will say that the data does not exist. When I try to import media into a post, it will only import it as a 1 pixel x 1 pixel image. I have to edit in the the “text” tab and input a size manually. When I upload a featured image, it gets truncated so there is a strip of white below the images in the home slider, and the column with the titles hangs down below it. I turned off most plugins, so I don’t think that is the issue. Unfortunately, the site “lives” on my client’s server and they won’t let me access it. Have you ever seen anything like this happen? Which theme version are you using?
In your case, you can use the FTP to check the permission of the uploads folder, you can change to 755.
If you still face their issue, you can send me username & password of your site and your FTP, I will check and help you resolve it.
Lynda KarrDW Focus. As I said, even I can’t access the FTP (client won’t allow it) and that’s the problem! Thank you for this. I will relay the information and ask if they will look. If they agree, I will get FTP log-in information and send that to you.

I am still not able to upload images and see the thumbnails for http://www.local706.org. The client won’t allow me to access their server — just my wp files. Do you think it is a permission THEY need to change? What can I tell them? And is there a way for me to upgrade the DW Focus theme? I don’t have a way to do this from within the WP dashboard. Thanks
