Hello,
I like your plugin and I use it for my website focused on aromatherapy. I have tried to provide on-line q&a. At this time I have problem with my e-mail settings on dwqa plugin.
When anonymous user asks the question, e-mail nofitication isn´t sent to the user, eventhough the user fills e-mail field (why is there as required field, then?). I don´t need e-mails of my anonymous users, but I would be very happy if they receive copy of their question and also of my answer to their question.
Secondly when Anonymous user sends private question, web generates page 404- Page not found although the question is posted and I can answer it. But I don´t know if question author will receive by e-mail my answer? Probably not. How to fix it?

At the moment, the Q&A only allow admin, author of the questions and anonymous get the e-mail notification when their question has a new comment or new answer, the Admin will get all the e-mail notification (new question, answer, comment).

If the Anonymous user sends the private question, the web generates page 404- Page not found although the question is posted and you can answer it. In this case, you can check your Questions settings If you enable the Question must be manually approved option, please disable it.

Or you can go to the Dashboard > Settings > Permalink then click the save button.

If you still face their issue, you can send me username & password of your site for further checking.

Do you have any plans to allow emails to be sent to other users. I’d like all these emails to go to our support team, but they should not be Admins on the wordpress site.

– You can forward to many people as you wish. It’s very simple to configure.
Add the following email structure to the Forward box.

[email protected]
[email protected]

Dominic, thank you for your prompt answer. I have tried your advices but users still doesn´t receive e-mails when I answer their question. I as admin receive every notification.

And if Anonymous user sends the private question stil 404 – Page not found although Question must be manually approved is disabled. If I enable it, web generates page with question and information "Question Pending"..

So if you would be so kind to control my settings on web, I send you username & password. Thank you very much! Lyd.

About the email notification, you need to install the wpMandrill or WP Mail SMTP to allow send the email.

Also, I have checked and asked some questions private to check your site and did same on our demo and see that it’s not the bug.

At the moment, the private question only possible access by admin, editor, and author. However, the author needs to register. If an anonymous submit a private question, they are can not access and see it.

I think we will create an option to not allow the anonymous submit a private question. We will discuss about it in the next version.

Dominic I sent you my aswer to your private question. I am really curious if you receive it.

Here is the text:

*Dominic I am answering your content. I have installed plugin WP mail smtp. I´ve setup it correctly.

I don´t think that my problem is related to missing smtp mail. I´ve always received mail as admin – New question and when I answer it as admin I receive two mails Your question has been aswered.

But my name (aromadoteky) is written as a person ho put question..

So I think there is not problem with sending e-mails from my website.

Somebody asks me – I receive notification – New question! – I answer and I receive two e-mail notifications with the same text. And my name is there written as a questioning person (follower).. And the one who has asked receives no notification. So I am there as the follower and also as the answer author. Maybe some bug in my settings, but I can not find where.

If users are registered to my site, they receive notifications correctly.

I have checked your site and on our demo and see that it’s bug come from our plugin. I sent and notified our technical team about this problem. We will check and fix it in the next version.

I would like to ask you, if you have any information on new update of DWQA? I really like your product, but still miss e-mail notification to my users and followers.

When I replied answer to my user the email notification goes into their spam folder, how can it move to their normal inbox folder? Please !
