Hello,

I have a problem with the DWQA plugin: The notifications emails are only working for the site admin, when I try to get a notification when posting as a guest or a subscriber, they don’t receive anything.
if I check” send a copy of the email to the website administrator”, I see that the admin receive the mail, but never the subscriber or guest.
Do you have an idea from where it can come from?

Hi,
If you want to send the notification emails when there are new questions, answers & new comment, just navigate to backend >> notification, then add the email addresses that you want to send, of course you can add many emails (Ex: [email protected], [email protected], ….)

Hello Dominic,

Thank you for your quick answer. Maybe I misunderstood the feature, but the plugin should send the email to the person who create the question right?

For example: “user1” asks a question. “user2” replies. User 1 should receive the notification email that someone have answered his question (it’s checked in the options panel).

In my case, this only works if “user1” (the user asking a question) is the website admin. If “user1” is a subscriber or a non-logged user who entered his email when creating his question, nothing happends.

if I check ”send a copy of the email to the website administrator”, the administrator will receive the email that the question of  “user1” has been answered, but “user1” still doesn’t receive anything.

Hi,
I have checked on our demo and still work fine, you can send me username & password of your site (via private answer) for further checking.

Hello,
Thank you for your quick answer Dominic,
I think it comes from my wordpress installation or shared hosting settings, I have subscribe to the “Mandrill” mail service and send the notifications email using their service and everything is working perfectly!
So I will not bother you with this, unless you want to see from where it comes from for debugging purpose.

Thanks and have a great day!
