How to get the last post in the row at the home/archive screen?

Hello.

I need to get the number of the last post in the row (in the loop) and place a widget area before it. Since wallpress is responsive, and also has double ant triple grids, the home and the archive screens has various numbers of posts in the row, how could I get the number of last one in the first row?

At the moment, DW Wall does not support this issue.
