Hi,
I created many “featured” and “hot” posts. I made a menu item as “Featured” and “Hot”. I also created categories and pages for Hot and Featured posts. Theoretically page Hot should show posts from category Hot, and page Featured should show posts from category Featured. So the goal is for example if someone clicks on the Hot menu item, WordPress should load the page Hot and list all of the posts in category Hot. I cloned home.php and created a new template file from it. Then I assigned my new template to the Hot page.
Posts appear (one post per row) but not in the same layout as posts on Home page. I like layout of Home page, that’s why I would like to use it for other pages.
How is it possible to produce this for other pages?
Thank you for your reply in advance (and sorry for my bad english)!
Regards,
Laszlo

Hi Laszlo, why try the hard way when you have the easy way out there,i would suggest you to simply assign the category Hot to each post you have assigned the ribbon as hot and similarly assign the category featured to each post in the posts which you have assigned the ribbon as featured(you can also use tags like featured and hot and assign them to your posts)and then do nothing (the copying of the template stuff as you did is not needed as wallpress have defalut template similar to home page)what you just have to do is go to apperance>>menus and add the categories hot and featured in the primary menu and save the menu(remember you have to assign these category respectively to each of you featured and hot ribbon posts as they are just the ribbon not links)now visit your site click on the category and it should work fine !!!
