I just put two posts to test the layout of my home page. However, i cannot put the post into “preview” mode. How can i do to not show the full text of my post?

Hello Berkelacious ! 
To only show the preview of each post on my HOME page, you can log in to Dashboard > Post > Hover over your post title and click “edit” below the title.
Click on the HTML view tab instead of the standard WordPress Visual Editor tab then find the insertion point for “Read More.” It is a button on the toolbar that says “More.” 
Or you can use a third party plugin. Please find the plugin here: http://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-custom-auto-excerpt/screenshots/

Thank you very much for the answer ! I use the third party plugin. But my Home page doesn’t still have the same look as in the demo. There is only one column rather two columns.
